Steven Hayes
Ignite Captain
Steven is a senior, studying Philosophy and Political Science, and is the Ignite Captain for the 2019 Mark Conference. He discovered the Department of Leadership through their summer retreats, Camp U-Knight and the Discovery Program, and over the next three years, has taken every chance he could get to experience the many opportunities the department offers. In his free time, Steven enjoys playing pick-up soccer, trying to cook, and learning about new topics, whether in thousand-year-old books or newly-released podcasts. It was the knowledge and passion of the 2016 Mark Conference speakers that first got Steven hooked on the conference, and he became a member of the SWAT team the following two years. This year, Steven is excited to engage with the student Ignite Speakers and their powerful stories, as they prepare for their talks at the 2019 Mark Conference!
