Kilala Yamamoto, a first-generation Japanese-American freshman, is double majoring in Information Technology & Informatics and Human Resources Management at Rutgers University. She currently serves as a President of her hall’s Residence Hall Association, Social Media Manager at the non-profit organization Urban Health Collaborative, Marketing Organizer at HackRU, and SWAT member on the MARK Conference Team. Beyond campus, Kilala is a YouTuber who streams games in Japanese, and she has a passion for helping younger children through her tutoring business and volunteering as a Reading Buddy at the New Brunswick Public Library. She is also enthusiastic about meeting new people and constantly seeks opportunities to grow in various aspects of her life. She aims to foster human interaction and create a better world through community engagement within the Rutgers community.
