Maksims Kurjanovics Kravcenko is an undergraduate student at Rutgers University – School of Arts and Sciences pursuing a Computer Science (B.S.) degree. He is a Head Learning Assistant, Aquatics Supervisor, and Program Coordinator seeking to establish academic excellence in his field of study. Maksims also serves as an Advisory Board for the First-Generation Students at Rutgers to ensure every student receives an opportunity in the workforce, regardless of background. Maksims was born in Latvia and raised in Spain, where he faced several societal hurdles that fueled his ambition to change the implicit bias of what an immigrant is. He hopes his journey will inspire others to take action and not fear to grow, no matter the challenge.
