Christopher Godoy

Christopher Godoy (He/Him/His/El) is a third-year undergraduate student at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, studying Political Science and Economics on the Pre-Law track. As an elected University Senator for the Rutgers University Senate and a member of its Executive Committee, he represents and advocates on behalf of 35,000 undergraduate Rutgers students. In his role as the Legislative Affairs Chair for the Rutgers University Student Assembly (RUSA), he has spearheaded voter registration, civic engagement, and public safety initiatives, as well as engaged with policymakers at the state and federal levels to address student concerns. His leadership extends to various other organizations, including the Rutgers Collaborative Center for Community Engagement, the Eagleton Institute of Politics, the New Brunswick Faculty Council, and Career Exploration and Success. As a first-generation Hispanic-American, EOF Scholar, and the son of immigrants, Christopher’s passion for public service, policy advocacy, and civic education underscores his commitment to empowering communities and shaping impactful policies.
